The tree is up and has lights.
Working lights.
Not the case when I first put it up.
My prelit tree had roughly 43 working lights.
I bought lights and had fun times stringing them.
Look at that sweet little baby.
She went to see a high school production of Alice in Wonderland.
Wearing her Alice dress.
She really loves Alice.
She's trying hard to be good these days.
She has someone watching over her and reporting back to Santa.
She really wants a good report.
Every morning, first thing, she searches the house for Elfus.
Elfus, like Elvis. She named him all by herself. Pretty clever, don't you think?
I Love Elfus, and the little Alice is looking cute too.

Hi Lisa,
The elf comes with a book that you read to introduce the elf to his new friend. You can actually go online and register your elfs name. She came out with that name so quickly and without any hesitation. We loved it.
Happy Happy Monday to you!

I love the star on the tree in the first pic. Where did youget it? We are not decorating with our regular ornaments this year, it's too panful with my husband gone. We are however doing non sentemential ornaments.

Hi Cindy,
I think the star ornament came from AC Moore. Im not 100% sure, but if not there, then Walmart.
Im so sorry your husband wont be home for Christmas. I just went over and read a little bit at your blog. Thank you, Jim and your entire family for the sacrifice you are making. My heart goes out to you and the children.
My son is a Marine and was at Paris Island during Thanksgiving, Christmas and his birthday three years ago. It was so hard having him away just for those 13 weeks. Luckily hes stationed a couple of hours away and we see him at least monthly. He will deploy for the first time after the first of the year, Im not looking forward to it, but know its what he signed up for.
I hope Jim will be home sooner than expected rather than later and I hope you are able to enjoy the holidays a little. You so deserve it!
