Call me a wimp, but I stayed home in bed Thursday night and Friday morning.
No late night/ early morning bargain shopping for me. How about you? Any great deals to be fought over had?
I did venture out Friday afternoon, to Lowes.
It wasn't too crowded and there were no lines at the registers.
I know, where's my sense of adventure?
I bought my Christmas/birthday/anniversary/St. Patrick's day, every holiday for the next two years present.
A new fridge. And dishwasher.
They were both on sale, a really good sale, like half off on the refrigerator.
I don't have them yet, the lady told me they had a negative two showing up in inventory.
My appliances are 16 years old, so I'm really excited to be getting shiny new ones.
We had a really nice Thanksgiving and had a surprise visitor.
She was surprised to say the least to walk in and see the
big guy in red standing in Nana's kitchen.
She was a little shy, but not at all frightened.
He won her over with the rainbow sock monkey.
He told her his favorite cookie was chocolate chip.
A very special thank you to my cousin Cynthia for sharing her sweet husband, aka Santa with us.
I hope to get the Christmas tree up this weekend.
No early decorating here.
I'm old school, and believe you should wait till after Thanksgiving.
I'm also old and dread dragging out all those boxes.
I have absolutely no desire to go out on Black Friday. I hate crowds on a good day. So glad Santa's visit was a success.

I don't blame you for staying home! We don't have Black Friday in Canada, but Boxing Day here is a zoo. One Boxing Day, my husband, daughter and I ventured out to the BIG mall. We drove around the parking lot for a few minutes, couldn't find a space to park, so we gave up and went home. Wimps, eh?
I'm ready to decorate this weekend (or maybe Monday) too! We always wait until the beginning of Advent, which is tomorrow.
Love the pics. What a cutie your granddaughter is!

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Santa coming to your house to see Bayleigh!!!
I didn't go out shopping either! I worked too many Black Friday and Saturdays back in the day and that was before all the opening in the wee hours and the camping out and the fights to get an item days....to mess with that. I try to have my shopping done before then anyway....NEVER accomplish that feat. What I bought last summer for s-i-l is way too large now as he has loss a lot of weight. So that may not be a great idea either. And I find better sales come first part of December for what is on my lists.
Enjoy your new fridge and dishwasher!!!! Hope it gets delivered soon!!! can't wait to see the pictures of them!!!

My hubby is the "real" Santa and his favorite thing is to show up at peoples' houses and surprise the kids. What memories it makes for them! Bayleigh is really growing up!

Aww...Oh, how cute is she, and Santa, he just looks so patient and kind, very sweet. I am with you, NO CHRISTMAS until the turkey's cleaned up and the leftovers are gone. Actually, I really like to wait until the first weekend in December, to give myself a break between the two holidays.
I hope you enjoy your long-awaited appliances! How fun!
xoxo

that is wonderful. I would love to have santa at my house. Especially this year since my husband is deployed. Too bad people take advantage of that, and want to charge you and arm and a leg because they know you have no choice. :-( I am sure she will remember this forever!
