Like curtains. Curtains are happy, right? I think so. Some girls have a thing for shoes and purses, my thing is for curtains and rugs. And lamps. I love lamps.
But I digress, I am here to talk curtains today. Kitchen curtains.
I hear some of you saying, oh no she didn't. And to you, I say, oh yes I did.
I've received lots of nice comments on those IKEA curtains I had in the kitchen. I loved them too, but it was time for a change.
These aren't actually curtains. Well, they are now, but they started out as table cloths.
I lined them using white twin sheets.
You can find them here.
Very cute {and happy}

Pretty, pretty, pretty!! They certainly make me happy...well, maybe not as happy as I would be if they were at my house, though.
And...just so you know, so much of what you wrote before, I could relate to. You did a good job of putting your thoughts into words. I hope it was somewhat cathartic for you!
But, back to happy thoughts..."my thing is for curtains and rugs. And lamps. I love lamps."...what about Linens? Linens totally do it for me!!
Take care!!

Autum you are my hero! What a fabulous designer you are:) I so wish you lived near by so I could hire you and have you come over and design up my place:)
Love that you lined them with twin sheets too. What a great idea. What do you do with all of the old curtains?

Love love love the new curtains - excellent choice - grey is the new black - and you don't get any happier than yellow. Enjoy them!!

Hi Sunny. I have the quilt too. I found it on clearance. I was a little unsure about putting the same print in my kitchen, but I have not been able to find fabric with the right shade of yellow and gray. For now, I'm using the quilt on the reverse.

Hi Shannon. Thank you so much for you kind words. I wished you lived near by too. I'd love to come over and help.
I still have the IKEA curtains, they are folded up in my sewing room.

Thank you Kari. They came from Target online and the sheets I lined them with are from Walmart. I seldom go anyplace else either ; )

Hi Samantha. Thank you. I haven't decided what to do with the old curtains. I'm sure they need a good washing and I'm worried it may shrink them. If I get them clean and decide to sell them, I'll let you know first : )

Thank you Sandra. I've been loving gray for a while now. I'm a little surprised by the addition of yellow. I had yellow in the kitchen once and thought that I never wanted to see it again. I guess time and distance does make the heart grow fonder, because I love the yellow.

Thank you Sally D
I think they feel fresh too and calm. The other curtains were a little busy, so I'm enjoying the fresh quietness of these.

I agree Elaine. You can find great prints in linens that you can't always find in fabric yardage. The finished edges are always a plus too.
