and any other nice words you care to throw in there. I'm delighted the nice ladies at Sew Mama Sew asked me to participate in Pillow Month. You can read my interview here if you like. I love pillows and I love Sew Mama Sew and February is the month of love, right? I'll be doing a couple of tutorials one involves zippers the other piping.
If you sew and haven't visited SMS, you should. They have TONS of tutorials and tips. If you don't sew but think you would like to try, this is the perfect time. Pillows are the perfect beginner project.
About the interview, that photo is a couple of years old and obviously not January. I had no problems answering questions, but submitting a photo.... eek! I am the most unphotogenic person you could hope to meet. I am allergic to getting my picture taken and no matter how hard I try to look normal, my face contorts and I just look crazy. I'm typically behind the camera so there aren't that many photos of me to choose from and then to find one of the few that I actually don't cringe at the thought of people seeing... well, that photo is the best I could do.
I read the interview (and saw the pic) yesterday. I think you are adorable. I also hate being in front of the camera.
I'm so happy they chose you for Pillow Month. I guess we'll be hearing from you more? LOL

I just got back from reading the interview (GREAT!) and your picture is so cute! I'm glad you're doing the zipper tutorial b/c I hate putting in zippers of any kind! They give me a fit, as does piping. Anyway, I have always envied the slipcovers you made. Something that really is daunting to me. I'm looking forward to these posts.

Congrats! I read the tutorials that you did for Sew Mama Sew previously. I've put in many zippers in my day and it never occurred to me to use fusible tape. Brilliance! From this day forth I will never again pin another zipper.

Congratulations Autum! I doubt there is anyone left out there who doesn't know who you are, but if so, I'm glad they'll be able to find out. I love all your fun projects!

YEA! I read your interview the other day on SMS - and am so glad you'll be doing a couple of tutorials. I used one of your previous tutorials to make a pillow with piping for my neighbor this fall. Looking forward to new ideas!

Oh Anna, you are too kind! The way the blog world has exploded, I feel like such a small fish. I am so glad to have made good friends like you, back when I used to swim in a much smaller pond. The new fast paced, hurry up and get BIG blogs dont seem to interact in the same way we used to, back in the day. Im so glad to have made so many wonderful friends who still drop by to say hi, even though Im not all big and flashy like the blogs of today.

Thank you Michele! Pinning zippers is such a pain, isnt it? If you dont have any fusible tape, Ive used a glue stick too in a pinch.

Thank you Karen! I hope Ill be able to show you that zippers arent really so bad. I used to avoid zippers at all cost, but once I had done a few, I actually enjoy them now. Piping, its not so bad either. You just have to show it whos boss ; )

Thank you Lera. That happens to be a rare photo that actually isnt all that bad. Really, Im so dorky when it comes to getting my picture taken. My son is the same way. You should see some of his school pictures. Alyssa on the other hand, the camera loves her. Im thinking Bayleigh may be a bit more like me. Shes a hard one to photograph- if you want her actually looking at you.
Im glad they chose me for pillow month too. I really needed to make new pillows for the living room ; )
