Rainy Saturday

I've just been tinkering with the blog design this rainy Saturday morning.  I'm not at all knowledgeable when it comes to such things, I just wing it and do lots of google searching. Excuse the off-centeredness, I'm trying to figure out this whole custom css stuff. If you know of any good sites with tips for typepad users, I'd love to hear about them or if you can tell me how to center my photos in this main column. I changed to a fluid pixel format for the main column, but I'd like the photos to be centered.

I also added one of those google friend connect widgets. I may leave it or it may be gone. For some reason it makes me nervous.  I'm not so sure I like the whole counting aspect. Will I feel bad if I only have 1 person sign up to be my friend? Will I be judged by the number of friends I have. It's too much pressure. Like highschool all over again.

Anywho, that's what I'm up to this morning. Piddling on a quiet, rainy, Halloween Saurday.

I like the "friends" or followers feature because I can read the blog content from my iTouch....and I love that! I can read in bed or wherever I like! I've been a follower of yours for a LONG time and I'm glad you have that feature! I've always loved your blog and your CREATIVE, sweet, self!

I've been following/subscribing for a couple months, but I know what you mean about the counting game. I'm also a bit skeptical about those numbers too...so many have 'follower giveaways', so the numbers go up. But are that many actually following the blog afterwards? I know I've signed up to follow folks, then never read their blogs later because I don't have anything in common with them. I guess if I get followers, I'd like them to follow because they share my decorating style or like my writing or pictures. Anyway, I'll sign up because I really do enjoy the things you share here. peace to you.

Your blog format looks great Autum! I don't know anything about typepad, but if you can go into the html of your post, you can put "p style="text-align: center" " before the "a href" command for your picture. And then after your picture, be sure and close the "p" with a slash-p. I hope that makes sense -- I can't type the command exactly as it should be, 'cause this comment would get interpreted as html and I'm not sure what it will do with it.

Love your new blog format. Everything is nice and wide and big. Easy to read and see.
Don't worry about the blog counting thingy. You have some wonderful fellow bloggers that love you for you so don't think for just one minute you wouldn't even have one person. However, I do know what you mean. How is that sweet grandbaby of yours doing?
