Monday: Took Bayleigh to Duke for a follow-up. Great news, the reflux has resolved, no more follow-ups needed. Yay!!!
Tuesday: Got my hair did by my beautiful and talented niece Jessica.
Wednesday: Worked a little spray paint magic on some beat up old restaurant chairs I thrifted for 5 bucks a piece.
I removed the seat. Gave 'em a good sanding and a coat of satin black. Distressed the edges and applied a coat of rub-on poly. For the seats I re-covered the green vinyl with some linen-like burlap. (not really as soft as linen, but great for covering chair cushions)
For fun I stenciled the numbers 1 through 4 on the backs.
Make that 0.5 through 4
Can't forget Bayleigh's seat. This old high chair belonged to my mom and Alyssa and Casey used it when they were small.
Thursday: We picked up Casey at the Airport in Jacksonville. He's been assigned to New River Airstation, less than 2 hours from home. How great is that??
Today, I sit here full to the top and overflowing, thanking God for His many blessings. Have a lovely weekend, friends!
Your chairs look fantastic. Great news about Bayleigh and wonderful news about your son.

What a great week! You sound so very happy (as well as looking glam) - guess having all your chicks a little closer to home will do that to a mama.

First of all, your hairs look fabuloso! Great job Jessica making your aunt look so lovely.
Secondly, the chairs are awesome. You are so creative -- the numbers are a great idea. Love the 0.5 for Miss Bayleigh.

Wow! Those chairs look fantastic! I totally would have passed up the "before" chairs even at $5. I never would have thought they could look so nice. You are a visionary to see their potential. The numbers are just so fun. 0.5 - 4. Ha! Too cute.

Your chairs looks just great, wish I could get such finds at such prices, but that won't happen! Next time I'm in the US, one of my dreams would be to visit garage sales, thrift stores and not to forget a big fabric store! :)
I just added a comment and some questions and also a couple of ideas re. your low budget bias tape maker. If you read this, and have a little time, I would love it if you would read it! :)
Thanks a lot! Great to find this neat blog!
