Doing a little quilting-bee sewing.
For November :: hence the title
Jessica's only instruction for her block was "Autumn." I like that theme. I only used the two fabrics she sent and went with a simple appliqued (by machine) leaf. I think this one was prettier in person than in this photo.
Sarah sent the center fabric, the apple & pear fabric, and one with orange dots on creme. She said she was a big fan of log cabins and Denyse Schmidt style improvisational blocks. This was a combination of intentional and improvisational design. I'm pleased with the results. I hope she will be too.
For December ::
Kristena requested a scrappy log cabin block. The fabrics are a mix of hers and mine. I even slipped in a small piece I had left over from Jessica's block.
Now I'm off to finish Stephanie's December block and start on Leslie's January block.
It feels good to get back into the sewing room.
Your blocks are so pretty, you've motivated me to get my room finished so I can get my machine set back up!

Hi! Those will be beautiful when they're finished! Nothing like sewing to soothe the heart. My mother is taking a stab at quilting and she's enjoying herself thus far. She's using "fat quarters" and it's going to be really beautiful when finished.
Hope you've had a good holiday season... have fun catching up!

Great job playing catch up! I love all the blocks. Isn't it interesting to be able to use fabric that was sent to you and make something out of fabrics that you think won't even go together? I love the scrappy log cabin and the Autumn one.
Happy sewing!

Great blocks! Do you have a pattern for those that you can share?

Hi: I was looking through the quilt bee blocks for busy little quilt bee. I think that I may not have done a block for you. Sounds crazy I know- but since I have been swapping a lot of blocks lately- it has been hard to keep track of. I can't remember getting your fabric so I am not sure if I sent a block or not, plus I can't find any photos of it and I normally have photos. Let me know if you don't mind. Also, if you didn't get one from me I would still love to do it! I'm afraid I would need the fabric though- so sorry!
