"There's no way around grief and loss: you can dodge all you want, but sooner or later you just have to go into it, through it, and hopefully come out the other side. The world you find there will never be the same as the world you left."
Johnny Cash
On Friday we learned that Olivia's heart was no longer beating. We had to wait nearly 36 hours for a hospital bed to become available for Alyssa to deliver her. Early Sunday morning Olivia's body came into this world, her spirit already with the Lord.
On Sunday afternoon, Casey left for boot camp.
I am so sorry to hear this...Please know that she is in a better place and Olivia's purpose was to touch your lives in a way that you cannot see as of yet. My thoughts and prayers are with your family at this time.

As soneone who lost a baby in utero, I know that there are no words that can make things any better for Alissa right now. My best advice to her would be to ignore all the comments and just take time to grieve. People said things to me like well think of how hard your life would have been with a baby with problems. Or, the well you can try again comments. They didn't make things easier, they made things worse. Reguardless of the situation that was a human life. A human life that was loved and wanted by many. Just tell her to ignore all of the unwanted comments, and to take time to heal, mentally and physically.
Lots of prayer for the whole family.

May God Bless you and your beautiful family right now...a good friend (who works in hospice care) taught me that the grief comes in waves. The first few waves are awful, yes, but...they lessen, over time. I know nothing helps right now - it's just a promise. The image did help me when we lost my grandmother.

Oh Autum, my heart is breaking for you and Alyssa and the rest of your family :*( There are no words to say except I am so so sorry. I do know that one day y'all will see Olivia again in heaven and she is with Jesus now. But that doesn't really make losing her any easier.
And then Casey left the next day..... I will be praying for you.
