Because I love birds and aqua and red and linen....
and because you know she'll be spending lots of time at Nana's house...
I had to make a pretty place for her to dream her sweet little dreams that goes with my decor.
I think it looks right at home here. The mobile that came with the bassinet had little white bears. They were easily replaced with tweet little birds, made from the Bird Ornament pattern in Last Minute Patchwork + Quilted Gifts. The fabulous bird fabric is by Kristen Doran Design, it's called Mollybirds. I've had it for quite a while but could never think of a good enough reason to cut it, until now.
OK Miss Bayleigh Caroline, Nana's ready when you are.
Autum,
Another lovely bassinet set. How cute! Now don't get me wrong, the other one was too adoreable and this one is equally adoreable. I love those birds from Last Minute Patchwork book. It's really the only thing I liked about the book. Couldn't justify spending the money on it for just one thing I liked in the book though.
I love linen as well. It has such a simple elegance to it. It looks wonderful in all this baby bedding you have made.
On another note, I thought about you the other day while shopping at JoAnn Fabrics. I came across some prequilted fabric that resembled your wallets. You have inspired me with them. I plan to make a purse, checkbook cover and "try" to make a wallet. I emphasize "try" only because all those pockets and "possible" zipper scares me.
Have a great day!

Darling. Birdies, gingham, rick-rack and eyelet trim? Yes, please. And I love the little birds on the inside! Wow, Nana. :)

Oooo, how adorable. Love the colors. Little Bailey will have sweet dreams in there. Aw... Nana and Papa! When I become a grandma, we want to be called Gigi and Pepe or Lolli and Pop. We'll see!

I am SO impressed with the baby things you've made! You should totally go into business making crib sets and basssinet covers! You do a GREAT job!

Love it that you are prepared! My mom didn't do that for any of mine. And prepared with just the cutest stuff in the world, that's the best part!

We have the same mobile, but with the kitschy teddy bears instead if the sweet little birds. What a good idea! My little girl LOVES the music from the mobile. I'm sure Bayleigh will too.

Beautiful Autum! Great job - you couldn't find anything close to it at a shop!

Holy Cow Autum! Now you're making ME want a grandbaby! That bassinet is SO adorable -- what a great grandma you're going to be! And MUST you throw in all those sweet little words -- I'm going to be conditioned like Pavlov's dog to always have a kleenex on hand when I visit your blog. Of course you must -- that why we love it here!!!

Well, Autum, you've outdone yourself once again. Way too cute! Margot is right-you really could start a cottage industry in baby bedding.

LOOOOOOOOVE that Autum! I have some Molly Birds waiting patiently in my stash for something fun... I don't think anything can beat your creation though!

I get so much inspiration from you, Autum. It all started when I made the craft apron (I've now made 4!). I truly enjoy seeing each and every item you make. It's helped me to branch out from quilting and make a few items for my kids and myself! Your color choices are really great. I can hardly wait to see the cute things you'll make once the baby is here!
