My sister Erica, hosted Alyssa's baby shower this past weekend. It turns out, the girl has some mad party-planning skills. It was filled with fun and food and lots of baby gifts. I'm so proud of her and grateful for all the work she put into making my girl's day extra special.
I was able to get the quilt finished in time for the shower, wasn't sure that was going to happen.
Thank you, so much for your wonderfully kind comments on the crib bedding. This project was especially close to my heart and your love made it that much sweeter.
I need to take a little break from baby sewing to get some other things marked off that never ending to-do list. Maybe I'll have some things to share this week that aren't pink. (in case you're getting a little bored with all the sugar and spice)
Loved the shower pics... so great as always. Um, I am getting impatient for a picture of your gorgeous daughter with that little baby-belly. When are we going to get to see that? :)
And no, we aren't bored a bit with sugar and spice -- especially as well as you do it!

Love the quilt, especially the seersucker border. You did a beautiful job, a true labor of love. What great party colors-pink, green & brown-so trendy. And did you dare even cut that gorgeous cake? Looks like something I've seen on Food Network. Best wishes to Alyssa and her sweet baby.
Warm regards, Faith

Awwww, the quilt turned out beautiful and your daughter makes for one good looking pregnant lady, that can't be said for everyone for sure! I was her age when I had my first child this reminds me of my shower way back almost 13 years ago! I was so blessed with gifts and overwhelmed that I cried, of course the hormones didn't help! I hope she shares pictures of the nursery once she gets it all together! I'm sure it's going to be adorable! Are you excited for that baby or what????
