This is the clock I had in the sewing room, something I picked up on sale at Hobby Lobby. It's ok, but I've never been real crazy about it. Today I decided to give it a little make-over. It was one of those unplanned, make it up as I go along kind of projects. I wanted to do something with fabric, something that would be fitting for a sewing room. Then I remembered this cool bag. I love the frayed edges and the random size and placement of the scraps. BINGO! A scrappy clock would be perfect for the sewing room. I started by tearing some strips of fabric. I wanted to use red and aqua. I also used some linen to keep it from being too bright.
Then I sewed the scraps to a base fabric, light weight cotton.
Next I traced around a plate to get a circle the same size as the face of my clock and cut it out with pinking shears. I made a hole in the center and inserted a grommet. I removed the hands from the clock and covered it with white glue, placed the patchwork circle and replaced the hands.
There you have it, a scrappy clock.
Ok OK that is the MOST adorable clock ever...angel must be so jealous she is not the most adorable thing in the room...LOVE THE CLOCK...kiss angel and of course I need your family christmas picture...dogs and all!!
Hugs, Tanya

Way too freaking cute. I made some scrappy patchwork curtains and throw pillows for my art room this weekend. This would be the perfect addition, as I think I have jut enough of the same fabrics to do a clock. Thanks for the inspiration.
