Faith, hope, and love...the greatest of these is love. For these, I am grateful. Every week I take time to reflect on all that I have to be grateful for, but if I were to break it all down to the simplest form, it would be these three things. All that is important in my life, and makes me want to live. Take away all the stuff of everyday, strip down to the core of what is important and you have... faith or the belief in what I cannot see, hope for the future, and love. Love given and received, like life giving oxygen. The love I have for my family. The love that takes my breath away sometimes and makes my chest hurt if I really stop to think about how much they mean to me. Today I am grateful to say I have these three... faith, hope and love, and because of that my life is good.
I am also grateful for aunt Mary's turkey, aunt Pat's sweet potatoes, Ronald's biscuits, Doris' mashed potatoes and gravy and Jessica's pecan pie. I am grateful for two new family members joining our Thanksgiving for the first time. Hailey and Loretta. Hailey joined the family (Mitch's side) when she was born, 2 months ago. Loretta officially joined the family (my side) on Saturday when she married Ronald.
Today was a very good day. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone. Even if it isn't officially Thanksgiving where you live, be thankful for the blessings in your life.
I am also grateful to Stephanie for sharing her pattern for soft trees.
happy Thanksgiving!
