To those now serving and to those who have served our country, I am grateful. So deeply grateful for the sacrifices you make to keep our country free. I am also so aware of the sacrifices made by the families of our soldiers. Thank you!!

I am so thankful to be heading to a reception toda for my dear cousin who just returned from Iraq. Another cousin wasn't so lucky.
My son called his BoBo (grandfather) to thank him for serving in the Army......except he served in the Navy.......but it was still cute.

Amen to that. It takes the whole family to make a successful soldier. Those at home (or stationed in other countries) truly do deserve special appreciation for supporting our country through their spouse's (or other family member's) service.

I tried to post here yesterday but my computer played up in the middle of a comment!
We call it Remembrance Day in England and it used to be known as Armistice Day (from the Great War). On the nearest Sunday, services are held throughout the country and in the Queen's prescence at The Cenotaph, London. We wear our poppies with pride and in memory of all those who have fallen.

That is a wonderful picture. My husband (USMA '87) said to tell you "Hoo-ahh!" ( I think that's "cool" and "thanks" in Army speak)
Love,
Terri

We call Nov. 11th Armistice Day, after the signing of something or other than ended WW1. It can make you so proud, can't it?
