In the last post I mentioned that I put out my fall pillows and pumpkin topiaries and a few of you asked to see pictures. I made these last year towards the end of the season when the pumpkins were on sale, they can be a bit pricey otherwise. Especially when you need six of them.
They are made using three graduated sizes of foam pumpkins. They are stacked on a dowel that has been secured into the flower pot through a wooden disk. The pot is filled with dirt for added weight. I hot glued silk flowers and leaves to the pumpkins and added some moss to cover the dirt. The most important part is securing the dowel into the pot and making sure the pot is heavy enough so they aren't top heavy. If you are using heavy flower pots this won't be such an issue, my pots are made of light weight foam.
