OK fabric junkies out there, and you know who you are, look what came in my mail today. I LOVE it !! You don't have to be jealous, stop coveting my fabric! You can get your own. Go now to sew mama sew and get your own and quit drooling over mine. Well don't go now. Wait until you read the rest please. These were part of the Sis Boom Girlfriends collection. The pink one is Amy Butler. Kristen has a wonderful selection of beautiful fabric and her prices are great as is her customer service. I will be back for more but when I get more money. Fabric is definitely my drug of choice and I am afraid I am pretty strung out!
Many of you that commented on yesterday's post quoted lines from Napoleon Dynamite. Or I assume that is what they were. I told you I didn't watch that silly movie! Anyway it got me to thinking about how some lines from movies become the catch phrase for that movie for me and I can't think of the movie without saying the line. For instance, when I think of Throw Mama From the Train I automatically say "Owen doesn't have any friends". The princess bride, "Wuv Twu Wuv". I don't call Boston Legal by its name it is Denny Crane, Denny Crane. I would ask am I crazy but there are a couple of people out there who would love to tell you just how crazy. Do you do this too? What are some of your lines? (I enjoyed the interactive nature of yesterdays post and comments so I am doing it again and would like you all to play along.) Thank you by the way for assuring me that I am not alone. I hope I didn't offend anyone. That was not my intent. I know that each person's blog is their own personal "diary" of sorts. What is included for the world to read is up to each author. I don't want to look at pictures of everyone's dirty laundry everyday. I get plenty of that action right here. Sometimes when I am posting some silly random stuff like a picture of my cat I wonder why anyone would bother reading my blog when there are others out there full of beauty and skill beyond belief. I just have to remind myself that I do this blog for me and shouldn't worry that it isn't as pretty as this blog or as informative as that one or as well written....... That isn't why I started it and it isn't what it's about. It is a journey for Autum and the friends I make along the way are a bonus.
we spend a lot of time quoting futurama, the simpsons and family guy.
here, have a list of futurama quotes, they're very versatile: http://www.geocities.com/zoidberg_fan/quotes.html
i've never seen napoleon dynamite either, I (almost ashamedly) will admit that I've been watching a ton of will and grace lately, it's on at least four times a day.

My FIL is a sort of quote jukebox. He says quotes seeminly randomly. Usually old cabaretprogrammes, books tv programmes and My husband inheritated the disease. They are al dutch of course. But one says fro example: I'm sheep schellebel and I don't have curls.. Noone founds it weird to hear this at sundaylunch ;-)
FUnniest thing is that son has inherited the fact. He quotes todllersshow frequently..
Thanks for your lovely comment. I know it is fun to swap and I will be having fun but well sometimes it is scary!

Just off the top of my head we use quotes from The Princess Bride and Napoleon all the time. One of my favs to use is from the spaniard in Princess Bride: "Let me esplain, no, let me sum-up"
Too many to list for Napoleon Dynamite, there are just so many funny ones! BTW, we own the dvd and gave 2 away as gifts!!!

Well I think yours is a GREAT blog. I read it every day (unless I just came home to the crew and they are all clamoring for laptime and ai don't get to come up for air for four days...) ;) I love how thoughtful (and though-provoking) your posts are, your beautiful projects, your delicious fabric... Yes, we quote ALL THE TIME, btw, but of course I can't think of a single one now!

Thanks for the intro to sew mama sew. Looks like a great place. Loving your fabric choices.
I'm like Beki--I don't quote anything either. But my hubby quotes lines from Spinal Tap. Does that count? :)
