flickr makes me happy
I sometimes lose myself in all the beauty on this wonderful site. I don't select a photo as a favorite with any theme in mind, yet they always seem to develop. This mosaic of favorites looks to me like a quilt, each square different, but somehow similar. None chosen for their color or subject matter- only because they were pleasing to my eye. It seems lately I'm pleased with babies, quilts, aqua with red and puppies. No surprises there.

I love when bloggers post their Flickr photos in this way because I, too, think it all looks like a glorious quilt. And sometimes it's amazing to see a pattern emerge of colors and ideas that we don't consciously consider. But, over time, our personality shows through when the pictures are put together in this way.

Flickr is one of those places you could spend hours. Such a fun place for inspiration--what a neat idea to boil down that inspiration into a quilty little grid.

Gorgeous! I have never perused flickr but I think that I will now. Isn't it funny how we get certain ideas or themes in our heads and it seems to just flow? Amazing!

Thanks for sharing your inspiration. I should (actually I really shouldn't) spend some time browsing Flickr.

I love your mosaic. doesn't flickr make you feel inadequate sometimes though?

Autum, I have just found your blog and I LOVE IT! You are so talented. I have been looking around, but I have to go to the grocery store now. I'll be back later to look some more. I love all your quilts, home dec projects, aprons, etc. I'm especially interested in your office chair cover. Did you have a pattern for that or a tutorial, or did you just sew as you go?
