Blowing in the breeze...

Clothesline

Sheets won on ebay- they came out of the box with that distinctive otherpeoplesoldstuff smell. You know what I'm talking about, thrift store smell. Into the washer with some hot water, a little white vinegar added to the detergent, then out to the clothesline.

Sunnyday

Like magic, they smell like sunshine and warm breezes.

Beautiful sunny day and great sheets...more lounge pants?

Mmmm, old fashioned goodness beats all! Love your blog and ideas. I can't wait to meet your new grandbaby!

love those photos!! My favorite things- vintage sheets and clotheslines :) Thanks!!

Isn't that "other people smell" weird? I figure my stuff must have that smell to others, but it doesn't seem like it to me. Weird. You photos are lovely.

that's wonderful! i looooove vintage sheets. I just posted on my blog about an outfit I made for my youngest from a vintage pillowcase (top & bloomers) :)

Mmmm... I can almost smell it! What pretty pics.

Ooooh, I like that daisy one!

Oooh I love fresh sheets! Although that otherpeoplesoldstuff smell usual means you got a great deal on it! Easy to fix.

Aaahhhh...The sight of vintage fabrics drying on the line just makes me smile all over!

Kimberly :)

Ah, yes, that distinctive Thrift Store Scent. A single washing never gets rid of it for me, but maybe the secret is the clothesline. I don't have one of those, but maybe I should!

I'm really loving that aqua/green daisy sheet.....

anything line dried makes me think of my summers at my grandmothers. what a great memory. thanks for posting something that made me think of her. :)

Excellent way to deal with the lovely new sheets! And I love clothesline photos.

beautiful photos! I am jealous of your wonderful blue sky!!

Hi Autum! If we'd only have consistant weather and sunny days so I could put our sheets out! Love the photos!

Isn't it awful that in this urban area we are not allowed to hang any kind of clothing on a clothes line? Absolutely forbidden by the Homeowners' association (and not just ours--all of them). And so behind the times when we're all trying to be more green.

Just love the photographs, the first one is fantastic.

Ahhh... the smell and crisp crinkle of newly-laundered-hung-out-to-dry sheets... you have made my desire for new fresh sheets unbearable. Looks like we'll be shopping this weekend!
