One more picture of the cutie

Taylorchristmas

In one more outfit. How do you sew-ers with little girls not sew yourself into a frenzy? I didn't know how to sew when Alyssa was a wee one, so dressing her up, and I did dress her up, involved spending more money than I ever should have. In the four days Taylor has been with us I have made her three outfits and a pair of pajama pants with fabric from my stash and not that much of it.  And they were all fairly quick projects. Like most sewing that involves a pattern, the cutting out seemed to take the longest.

Her parents are on their way home, they were attending a wedding in Michigan. Tomorrow things will go back to normal and I'm kinda' sad about that. Maybe they'll let me borrow her on a regular basis. Three-year-olds are pretty cool.

Oh what a doll she is! Yes, I miss my lexi being three so much. I bet you all had a ball together!!!

Believe me when I say we do sew a frenzy!!

oh. Oh! OH! I just want to bite her*, she's such a cutie!!!! She's even got great hair. I really like that age - young enough to still be sweet, old enough to go potty by themselves.

And do I spy snowmen AND candy canes on her pretty new outfit? And those ruffles on her cuffs - how happy is she?

:)

*to anyone other than Autum who may happen to be reading the comments here - don't worry, I'm not really going to bite the cutie. It's a Southern thing. And it *is* a compliment, although now that I am thinking about it, I'm not exactly sure why...

What a gorgeous outfit!!
Your post makes me realise that I should sew more clothes for my children :))

She is a doll! I miss having a little one.

Little girls are so much fun to sew for - I made sew many cute outfits for my daughter when she was young. Just seeing these adorable outfits on this cute little girl makes me want to find one to sew for again!

they are especially cool when they are returnable :-)

and gosh, the clothes you have been making her? awesome.

I was one of those "sewless" moms of a little girl and I spent a small retirement fund on her clothing I am sure! I just found your blog and have enjoyed reading it so much. BTW, the outfit is to die for and if I am so sure your will be able to "borrow" your model again soon, especially if she comes away with gorgeous outfits like that.

That is so adorable (and doesn't she have fabulous hair?). What pattern did you use? I do, like you asked, sew myself into a frenzy for Addie. She has more handmade outfits (for dress-up, anyway) than she has store-bought ones. It's addictive.

Sewing for little girls is just so much fun. After only having a son, I had to wait until I had a granddaughter to do some girly, girly sewing and now she is learning to sew, too. Of course, Mom Mom does the cutting and pressing.

I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed your time and making those adorable outfits for your 3-year old visitor, however, it is exhausting, isn't it?

Wow. I wish I lived closer. Maybe you'd sew me an new wardrobe! She's a lucky (and cute!) girl.

Yes, too cute ;)

Absolutely Adorable!!!!

Hey, you're welcome to sew my girls something if you'd like! At my house it is definitely the story of the cobbler's kids with no shoes. I tell myself that I'll make up for it by sewing for grandkids one day.

loving your houseguest!!!! OHHh and your picture with your tiny puppy love!!! I've missed seeing whats up! I am sitting here with my cup O coffee visiting and enjoying the moments you share!! Big Hugs and you have crazy mad skillz for little girl clothes...if only we were 3....hehehe

OHHH AUTUM um...since you are currently loving the sewing for wee ones...here is my favorite line of clothing for children! Sigh...

totally cute!

I'd imagine you'll be asked to borrow her every time she has a growth spurt! ;)

i'm just wondering if you treat your adult guests the same way with spoiling them with your handmade goodness ... if so, when can i visit???
