You know how you face some projects with a sense of dread? This was one of those for me. I'm not sure why. It was a relatively easy job and once I got started went pretty quickly. A friend from church wanted me to make window treatments and six pillow covers for her family room. I looked forward to making them about as much as I would look forward to getting a root canal. I forced myself to get started yesterday and now I am happy to say the job is done! I don't like the fabric at all, but other than that I am pleased with the results. When she first came to me about making the window treatments she wasn't sure what she wanted. I had recently bought this magazine and thought this would be an easy window covering. A big square. Can't get much easier than that. I'm not sure how these are going to look. She chose a very formal fabric and this is an informal window treatment. I did try something I have wanted to try for a while. A mitered square from striped fabric. It was easier than I thought it would be. If you would like a tutorial let me know. I can't wait to try it with some fabric I actually like.
